This past Friday (December 20th), LC played to a packed house at Harper’s Pub in Clemmonton, NJ for the unofficial South Jersey Chive Meetup. Alongside local barn-burners Baby Diaz and Bong Hits For Jesus, the annual St. Mati’s Day spectacle, named for Lovecartel drummer Mati Shernoff’s birthday, featured blistering sets from all three bands. Despite a serious bout with the flu, lead singer Ash Kenren managed to push through a shortened but still-passionate 35-minute set in the band’s first NJ gig since forming in early 2013. Next up, the band plays Mental Poison’s Open House on January 11th.
